This work operates as a deliberate stress test of the idea that national identity is infinitely open, purely civic, and endlessly transferable. By placing one of the most polarising and widely disliked figures in contemporary Western politics into an Australian visual language, the poster asks a simple question: if “anyone can be Australian,” where—if anywhere—does that stop?

The piece does not assert that Trump is Australian. It mirrors a doctrine back onto itself, using an uncomfortable example to expose the limits people instinctively draw while refusing to name them. The recoil is the point.
